034858 North America Reliability Manager (Open)Job Description:
The Reliability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving asset reliability strategies to maximize equipment uptime, safety, quality, and operational performance. This role leads reliability engineering initiatives, predictive and preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce equipment failures and maintenance costs while supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute reliability and asset management strategies for manufacturing, production, or industrial facilities.
- Lead reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), preventive maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
- Analyze equipment performance data and reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and corrective action implementation for recurring and major equipment issues.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve asset performance.
- Manage condition monitoring technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing, lubrication programs, and equipment health assessments.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), downtime, maintenance cost per unit produced, maintenance cost per ton, and equipment availability and reliability.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle asset management planning to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor reliability engineers, planners, and technical personnel.
- Develop maintenance standards, best practices, and training programs.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for productivity, quality, and cost improvements.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Optimize production parameters and operating standards.
- Develop process controls and standard operating procedures.
- Support scrap reduction, yield improvement, and material utilization initiatives.
- Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Lead plant diagnostics and performance improvement programs.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams.
- Support startup and commissioning of new equipment and process changes.
- Drive standardization of best practices across facilities.
- Support annual strategic plans and operational improvement roadmaps.
Bachelor’s degree or a related technical discipline required.
Typically 4–8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, process engineering, reliability engineering, controls engineering, or a related industrial environment.
Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and industrial control systems preferred.
Experience within steel, metal packaging, industrial manufacturing, or other process-driven production environments preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
- Working knowledge of reliability concepts including root cause analysis, predictive maintenance, asset performance management, and failure analysis
- Expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency with PLC programming, industrial automation systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with CAD and other engineering software tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.
- Project management skills including planning, budgeting, prioritization, and execution.
- Understanding of financial and operational metrics, including cost analysis, productivity improvement, yield optimization, and capital justification.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong collaborative relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a focus on execution and results.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $108,400.00 - $184,600.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between150,000.00 to175,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.Benefits Statement:
