Job Description


Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist at The Shriners Hospital for Children performs diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, on pediatric patients to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires compassion, precision, and adherence to radiation safety protocols within a child-friendly healthcare environment. Tuesday, Thursday- 10:30am-6:00pm and Wednesday, Friday- 9:00am-4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced setting

  • Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction

  • Responsible for a correctively positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced

  • Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury

  • Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work-related events

  • Maintains on going- plan for personal growth and self-development


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Current State License

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in pediatric/orthopedic radiology


Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
