• 24 hr call shifts ‐‐ 7 am to 7 am, 6 ‐ 8 shifts per month
• 20 ‐ 30 deliveries per month ‐‐ high risk 10 or fewer
• Critical access hospital with L&D unit and ED call coverage
• L&D staffed with 2 ‐ 3 RNs ‐‐ CNMs and FPOBs on site
• C‐sections, D&Cs, ectopics, VBACs, amniocentesis required
• FHR interpretation, OB inductions, emergent GYN surgeries required
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Vacation coverage ‐‐ ongoing coverage potential up to 12 months
