Position Overview
Mend Force Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our orthopedic outpatient clinic in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. Work Environment

You will work alongside a team of licensed physical therapists and healthcare professionals, collaborating to create an optimal patient experience. The consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, promotes work-life balance while ensuring dedicated focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and neuromuscular reeducation, utilizing modalities under the guidance of the supervising PT.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress using our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises, posture alignment, and home exercise programs, empowering them to manage their recovery journey between therapy sessions.
- Collaborate intensively with physical therapists, clinic aides, and administrative staff to facilitate effective patient flow and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Regularly monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and communicating any changes in patient condition to the supervising therapist, physician, and families.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements and sports-related injuries, as well as those managing chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse range of patients, each with their unique stories and recovery goals. Building rapport and trust with clients is essential for motivating them and enhancing their overall treatment experience.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey is mandatory.
- Certifications: CPR certification is required or must be obtained prior to starting the position.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for interacting with patients, families and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
