Position Summary

The Production Operator (Helium Tester) is responsible for operating equipment and performing leak testing on welded components. This role involves the safe handling of chemicals, precise monitoring of tank parameters, and strict adherence to safety and quality protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor pressure gauges, readouts, and valves during testing processes
  • Perform routine maintenance and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Set up and operate pressure testing equipment in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic tests on parts, assemblies, and systems to detect leaks, verify performance, and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Make manual adjustments (e.g., screws) as required based on identified risks
  • Identify, document, and report defects or failures discovered during testing
  • Accurately document process parameters, maintenance checks, and batch information
  • Handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department
  • Cross-train in passivation processes as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Must wear Steel Toed Shoes
  • No Drug Screen or Background Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, chemical handling, or metal finishing environment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to hazardous materials and chemical handling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, MSDS/SDS, and process documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
  • Good Attendance is a MUST!
