Full job description
Lake Mills, WI | $24–$28/hour Including Shift Premium | Monday–Thursday
A growing precision manufacturer is adding a Quality Technician to its second-shift team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on inspection experience, understands precision-manufactured parts, and is the person who notices when something is off before it becomes a bigger problem.
You’ll perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections while working with precision measuring equipment, blueprints, CMMs, and quality documentation. This is an addition to the quality team, and the company is open to both developing Quality Technician I candidates and more experienced Quality Technician II-level talent.
Quality Technician Benefits and Compensation:
- $24–$28/hour, depending on experience
- $2/hour second-shift premium
- Monday–Thursday, 2:45 PM–12:45 AM
- Four 10-hour shifts with a three-day weekend

Quality Technician Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on quality inspection or comparable precision manufacturing inspection experience
- Mechanical aptitude and strong basic math skills, including decimals and dimensional measurements
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or height gauges
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications
- Strong attention to detail with accurate inspection documentation and recordkeeping
- Reliable attendance and ability to consistently work Monday–Thursday, 2:45 PM–12:45 AM
Must Haves:
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished precision components to identify dimensional or quality issues before product moves forward
- Select and properly use measuring equipment based on the feature or tolerance being inspected
- Verify calibration status before using inspection equipment
- Accurately record measurements, accepted/rejected quantities, and inspection results
- Identify and communicate nonconforming product and work with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues
- Ability to consistently maintain a quality mindset where “close enough” isn't the standard
Quality Technician Preferred Background & Skills:
- Previous Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, QC Inspector, CMM Operator, or similar experience
- CMM operating experience
- Practical knowledge of GD&T
- Precision machining or CNC manufacturing background with significant first-piece or in-process inspection responsibilities
- Medical device, aerospace, or other highly regulated precision manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485
- Experience documenting nonconforming product or participating in corrective/preventive action activities
- Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience
