Novant Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to assist physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images. What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology program or a certified/ accredited/JCERT hospitalbased program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
  • Experience:Two years experience in diagnostic radiology, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT, required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
What You'll Do:

  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
  • Assist physicians with imaging needs during orthopedic evaluations, procedures, and follow-up visits.
  • Properly position patients for routine and specialized orthopedic views while considering pain, injury, limited mobility, and weight-bearing restrictions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination information within the electronic medical record/PACS system.
  • Ensure radiographic equipment is properly maintained, clean, and ready for daily patient use; report equipment concerns promptly.
