Job Description:

Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SQL. Communicates complex information clearly to all levels of staff through effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains confidentiality and objectivity in professional conduct. Manages multiple work streams, clients, and analyses efficiently. Learns quickly and works with minimal supervision. Analyzes healthcare data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance. Develops and implements data analytic strategies to support the Population Health team. Provides actionable insights into provider ordering, member adherence, and operational effectiveness. Partners with business and operational owners to execute cost-saving initiatives and return on investment analyses. Engages clients in reviewing financial performance and identifying critical gaps in lowering the cost of care. Utilizes statistical software applications and data systems to enhance program performance. Applies common analytical methods such as profiling customer segments, data modeling, and regression analysis. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Health Plan claims data knowledge [Required]
  • Health Plan financial analysis [Preferred]

Education:

  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics or related field
  • in analytical field

Work Experience:

  • 2+ working with analyses within a health plan / payor organization [Required]
  • 4+ analytic experience [Required]
  • Analytics interfaces such as Tableau, Business Objects [Preferred]
  • Analytics with emphasis in healthcare and/or clinical application and health insurance finances [Preferred]
  • Statistical applications like SAS, SPSS or R [Preferred]
  • Technical experience in utilizing analytical software tools and applications [Required]
  • Working with healthcare, insurance or claims data [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$60,756.80 - $113,006.40
