Foot & Ankle Specialists of Illinois is excited to welcome a motivated, well-trained, well-rounded, and personable Associate Podiatrist / Foot & Ankle Surgeon to our modern, established, physician-led private practice in Algonquin, Illinois, approximately 40 miles northwest of Chicago.

We are especially interested in a physician who has already developed a strong clinical foundation and is ready to join an established private practice where they can build something lasting. This opportunity is ideally suited for a surgically trained DPM with two or more years of post-residency clinical experience who is looking for a true long-term practice opportunity - not simply a short-term first job.

The right associate will have the opportunity to build a meaningful surgical and full-scope podiatry practice with clinical autonomy, strong operational support, direct access to ownership, mentorship, and long-term professional and income growth. Strong recent graduates may be considered if they demonstrate maturity, clinical confidence, coachability, and clear alignment with private practice growth.

  • One primary clinical location with no multi-site complexity

  • Supportive clinical team, streamlined operations, and mentorship for the right associate

  • Efficient workflows using Modernizing Medicine

Clinical Opportunity

  • Opportunity to grow surgical case volume as the practice continues to expand

  • Opportunity to treat patients across all age groups and a wide range of foot and ankle conditions

  • Evidence-based approach using conservative and/or surgical treatment when medically appropriate

  • Autonomy to develop subspecialty interests over time

Ideal Candidate

  • Ideally has two or more years of post-residency clinical experience and is ready to grow within a long-term private practice opportunity

  • Surgically trained, with rearfoot and ankle training preferred

  • Well-rounded clinically and appreciative of all aspects of podiatric care

  • Comfortable with surgical, medical, wound care, diabetic foot care, sports medicine, DME, orthotics, nail/skin/dermatologic conditions, and routine podiatric care

  • Coachable, confident, professional, and team-oriented

  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills with patients, staff, referring providers, and leadership

  • Committed to patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and long-term practice growth

  • Strong recent graduates may be considered if they demonstrate maturity, clinical confidence, coachability, and clear long-term alignment with private practice growth

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive physician compensation package with anticipated base salary range of $150,000-$175,000 , depending on experience, training, and fit

  • Lucrative, uncapped collections-based incentive model for a productive associate

  • Tiered bonus structure tied to productivity, growth, practice contribution, and surgical volume

  • Compensation structure designed to provide income stability while rewarding long-term practice growth and high performance
