Full job description

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic II

Location: Lenexa, KS

Pay Range: $32.00

Shift: Day Shift M-F, OT on weekends

What's the Job?

  • Perform technical and maintenance support to ensure equipment uptime and availability
  • Conduct safety inspections and document findings, assisting in developing corrective actions
  • Operate cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records using the CMMS system and perform preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machines, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 10 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience with welding, cutting, troubleshooting preventative maintenance (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
  • Solid understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, cranes, and power transmission components
  • 3+ years experience with CNC machines and lasers; HVAC knowledge is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED; capable of operating hand, power, and specialized tools
