Sanitation Technician – Hanover, PA (Overnight Shift)

Location: Snyder’s‑Lance – Hanover, PA Shift: B Shift | 7 PM – 7 AM | 4 On / 4 Off Pay Rate: $22.00/HR

About the Role

Manpower is hiring a Sanitation Technician to support a leading food manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and food‑safe production environment by sanitizing equipment, production lines, and facility areas according to established food safety and plant standards.

This is a hands‑on, physical role ideal for individuals who enjoy active work, follow procedures well, and are comfortable in a food‑production environment.

What You’ll Do

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility areas following the Master Sanitation Schedule.

• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning and inspection.

• Operate sanitation tools such as power washers, foamers, scrubbers, vacuums, compactors, and lifts.

• Mix and handle cleaning chemicals safely; follow SDS and plant procedures.

• Maintain housekeeping standards across production, warehouse, restrooms, offices, and breakrooms.

• Support allergen control, spill response, waste removal, and recycling.

• Follow all GMP, SQF, HACCP, PPE, and LOTO safety requirements.

• Document sanitation tasks, chemical usage, and cleaning verifications.

• Work independently and as part of a team to meet sanitation schedules.

• Assist with emergency cleaning, special projects, and overtime as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 1 year of sanitation, industrial cleaning, or food manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in wet, humid, or variable‑temperature environments.

• Comfortable working at heights above 15 ft.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
