Pediatric Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2060 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - UNC Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Pediatrics, NICU, and/or PICU experience required. - Oscillator experience within the last 5 years.

Required Credentials: - Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. - Depending on practice area, at least one of the following is required: ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT, or an advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in Bronchoscopy Lab.

Unit Details: - Airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function testing, arterial punctures, tracheostomy care and tube changes, and endotracheal intubations and extubations. - Uses specialized ventilator modes and appropriate weaning techniques. - May transport pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals when working with Carolina Air Care. - May perform advanced practice procedures per UNC Air Care Protocol, including UAC, UVC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABGs, and blood glucose monitoring. - No ECMO.

Shift & Scheduling: - On-call 1 weekend per 6 weeks. - 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks. - Must be able to work holidays if needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
