JOB SUMMARY

Serve as a senior Workday functional expert supporting Payroll, Core HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. The role partners with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and technology teams to understand business problems, configure and optimize Workday, simplify processes, strengthen controls, improve reporting and data quality, and enhance the employee and manager experience. This is a consultative improvement role, not a ticket-processing role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with business teams to understand challenges, collect requirements, and recommend practical Workday solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday functionality across Payroll, HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence.
• Support Payroll operations with a focus on system accuracy, controls, compliance, and timely issue resolution.
• Enhance HCM business processes across the employee lifecycle and improve time and absence programs.
• Participate in Workday releases; assess new functionality and recommend adoption based on business value.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and workforce insights to support operational and management decisions.
• Support testing, change management, deployment, documentation, and post-production stabilization.
• Help establish functional best practices, governance standards, data quality controls, and continuous improvement practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:  Bachelor's Degree preferred.

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:  Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on Workday functional experience.
• Deep knowledge of Payroll, Core HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into Workday configuration and process solutions.
• Experience supporting complex organizations strongly preferred.
• Exposure to Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, or Benefits is preferred.
