About the Position

TransForce is seeking a CDL A flatbed driver to support operations based in Kansas City, MO. This position offers home daily opportunities.

Pay & Schedule Details

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 AM sharp (no exceptions)
  • Averages 60-65 hours per week
  • Pay: $29+ per hour + overtime after 40 hours

Job Details

  • Route Type: Local, home daily, may deliver as far as 250 miles out in any direction
  • Freight / Load Type: Steel coils and beams
  • Equipment: International & Freightliner day cabs (2023 – 2024)
  • Handling: Will secure load as needed and strap & unstrap at delivery site. Driver will be loaded daily by forklift driver and expected to spot the forklift operator as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL A flatbed on local routes
  • Transport heavy steel equipment in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
  • Perform required handling tasks
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, strapping, tarping, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • License: CDL A
  • Experience: 4+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
