Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Minimum one-year critical care experience preferred.

Unit Details: Provides respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Initiate and provide ventilatory support; recommend appropriate ventilator settings, use lung protective strategies, appropriately wean the patient, and monitor/troubleshoot the ventilator. Perform diagnostic procedures such as ABG draws and sputum specimen collection; interpret ABGs; perform bedside spirometry and capnography. Monitor patients’ respiratory condition during transport within the hospital and during transport to other facilities as needed. Attend codes and RRTs; assist with conscious sedations and intubations. Administer therapeutic gases such as oxygen, Heliox, and high flow oxygen therapy. Assist with bronchoscopies performed in the Bronch Suite, OR, floors, ER, and ICU. Assist in all treatment modalities used to provide care to the neonatal and pediatric population. Assess tracheostomy and laryngectomy tubes; maintain the artificial airway; perform naso-tracheal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy suctioning; and assist providers with tracheostomy tube changes. Assess for and administer PEP, CPT, and other airway clearance devices/methods. Administer aerosolized and metered dose medications. Assess for, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain non-invasive ventilation. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to offer clinical expertise.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating days. Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: May float between Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
