Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2390 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Unit Details: - Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4-6 patients on days; 5-6 on nights, occasionally up to 7 on nights. - Common patient population includes post-op knee, hip, shoulder, thyroidectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and medical patients with HTN, heart failure, pneumonia, COPD, AMS, TIA, diabetes, sepsis, UTI, and AKI. - Rare titratable drips; common drips include heparin and PCAs. - Charge RN takes an assignment, sometimes full and sometimes modified. - CNA support ratio is 1:10. - RT equipment includes CPAP at night on home settings; BiPAP is rare. - Central monitoring is available; tele techs are on site but not on the unit, and RNs are not required to read or interpret telemetry strips.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend requirements vary: sometimes every 3rd weekend, every other weekend, or none for full weekend teams. - 2/3 of winter holidays and every other holiday otherwise. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Can float to like units and may float as a CNA to IMC, ICU, or ED.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
