Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - $1920 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Emergency Department, MS/Tele, blood glucose monitoring/testing, feeding tube care and management, Foley catheter insertion female, Foley catheter insertion male, ear drops, eye drops, IM & SQ, NG tube/G tube, oral, subcutaneous, ambulation, face masks, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, bathing: sitz, tub, bed, shower, mouth care, admission of patient, communication of patient status changes to RN/MD, isolation precautions, vital sign monitoring.

Special Requests: Minimal RTO; additional RTO requests beyond what is submitted prior to signing cannot be accommodated.

Unit Details: LPN may not assume assignment and act as resource in GIOF or med/surg. May be utilized as PCT. Temporary overflow med/surg telemetry unit caring for ED boarder patients. Flex space inside GI Endoscopy; patient volume may increase or decrease depending on demand/boarder numbers. SBAR is used for ED patients; verbal report is expected for other transfers/admissions.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Call required: dependent on staffing needs.

Floating Requirements: Float required based on turn; would float to care for MS patients.
