Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Clinicians with facial hair must pass either the primary or secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 small or regular/3M 1870+). If unable to pass, a Portacount test would be required; Portacount testing cannot be completed on clinicians with facial hair, and a PAPR cannot be completed on site solely due to failing because of facial hair. The contract will be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO is needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
Unit Details: Patient population includes adults and pediatric patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. Common drips include electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics; hypertensive and hypotensive medications are not titrated, and diuretics are rarely continuously infused. A pediatrician is not in-house 24/7 but is on call for pediatric patients; pediatric patients are not managed by the hospitalist. The unit has no ventilators; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by respiratory therapy. The unit uses ICU telemetry monitors; nurses apply telemetry to patients and read strips.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends are needed as scheduling requires. Self-scheduling is allowed. There is no holiday requirement.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Float to the ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
