We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and patient-focused individual to join our team as a Consulting New Patient Coordinator. This role is instrumental in providing the highest level of patient care, playing a key part in our mission to transform lives through exceptional healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for organization. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in patient scheduling or a similar role, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting New Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our new patients, providing them with an exceptional first impression of our healthcare services. Your daily tasks will include:
1. Coordinating and scheduling patient appointments with appropriate consultants, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
2. Providing detailed information to patients about their appointments, including the purpose of the visit, the consultant they will be seeing, and any preparation required.
3. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record system, ensuring all information is confidential and secure.
4. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to understand patient needs and provide optimal scheduling solutions.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
6. Addressing and resolving patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
7. Participating in regular team meetings to discuss patient care, operational efficiency, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Consulting New Patient Coordinator position must meet the following qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient scheduling or a similar role within the healthcare industry.
2. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach to service.
3. Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other computer applications.
4. Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
5. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
8. Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
9. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
10. Certification in healthcare administration or patient scheduling is a plus.
