Job Summary:

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Wearelookingforatalented Production Associate - Sub Assembly Technician tojoinourmanufacturingteamin(Commerce City, CO (Henderson)).

Willmakeanimpactinthefollowingways:
  • Assemble internal HHP engine components including pistons, liners, turbos, camshafts, cylinder heads, oil pans, and gear housings
  • Prepare and assemble components for installation on the engine assembly line
  • Operate manual and automated equipment to meet production and quality standards
  • Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials
  • Use precision measuring devices and operate overhead cranes safely
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine equipment care
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures


Responsibilities

Inordertobesuccessfulinthisroleyouwillneedthefollowing:
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience working with engine components or manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and follow standard work instructions, quality procedures, and safety requirements
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes or willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous engine assembly, manufacturing, workshop, or mechanical experience preferred


Qualifications

Sub-assembly production associate level II - Will perform the assemblies of the internal components of HHP engines. These assemblies include pistons and liners, turbos, front gear housings, flywheel housing, oil pans, 2-stage turbo charger frames, camshafts, and cylinder heads. In this role you will assemble and prep these components so they can be installed on the assembly line. Must be able to lift 35 lbs, stand long periods of time, operate an overhead crane, and use precision measuring devices.

Mechanical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; applies mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Requires some workshop experience and intermediate level of knowledge obtained through relevant training or on the job experience of engines (Preferred).

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
