Job Description

We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Propane Technician to join our team. This full-time position combines propane service and installation work, equipment maintenance, customer service, and propane delivery.

Technicians move between service and delivery responsibilities as operational needs require. The ideal candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, work safely, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to a professional and positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned service calls and delivery work safely, efficiently, and professionally.

• Perform pipe fitting and gas-plumbing work, including tank-to-house installations, repairs, remodels, and new construction.

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain interior and exterior gas piping and related propane systems.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment, including pumps, meters, and related systems.

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine the appropriate solution.

• Safely operate service trucks, propane bobtails, and other company vehicles and equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service truck.

• Complete work orders, service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.

• Coordinate with technicians, drivers, office personnel, and management to maintain an efficient workflow.

• Communicate professionally with customers, protect their property, and leave each jobsite clean, orderly, and safe.

• Represent the company professionally and help maintain a workplace founded on respect, teamwork, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Inspect work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment and promptly report hazards or safety concerns.

• Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License with the required endorsements and a safe driving record.

• Follow all applicable traffic, transportation, and workplace-safety requirements.

• Obtain and maintain all required state licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.

• Experience in pipe fitting, plumbing, gas installation, equipment maintenance, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.

• Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License with tanker and hazardous-materials endorsements.

• Must possess or be able to obtain the required installer license through the Arkansas LP Gas Board.

• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

• Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to continually learn and improve.

• Strong work ethic and ability to remain professional during demanding conditions and periods of heavy workload.

Working Conditions

• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, and other weather conditions.

• Must be able to work in crawl spaces, confined areas, and other tight or difficult-to-access locations.

• Must be willing to work extended hours when required by workload, seasonal demand, emergencies, or severe winter weather.

• Scheduling flexibility and a strong commitment to customer service are especially important during the winter season.

Employment Information

This is a full-time position beginning with a 90-day probationary period. Permanent employment may be available to the right individual following successful completion of that period.
