Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, located in the heart of Riverside, California. This full-time position offers you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients by helping them regain mobility and enhance their quality of life. As part of our collaborative team, you will engage directly in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients dealing with orthopedic conditions.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will thrive in a vibrant and energetic outpatient office setting where collaboration and communication are key. You will work alongside a dedicated team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life experience while providing excellent therapy to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial patient assessments to identify individual objectives and requirements in the context of orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Create and implement tailored care plans utilizing evidence-based practices and a diverse range of treatment techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a caseload efficiently with a focus on one patient per hour to ensure dedicated attention.
  • Employ hands-on manual therapy techniques and assistive exercises to enhance patient mobility and functional independence.
  • Facilitate progress documentation, engage in continuous assessment of therapy effectiveness, and adjust treatment programs as necessary.
  • Motivate and support patients in their recovery journey, setting realistic goals that encourage active participation in their rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize comprehensive patient care.
  • Promote lifestyle changes that improve strength, balance, flexibility, and overall wellness among clients.
  • Keep clear and concise records of patient care and treatment plans utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT.

Our practice primarily serves patients dealing with orthopedic injuries and conditions. The ideal candidate will be adept in managing diverse patient needs, from post-surgical rehabilitation to prehabilitation and injury prevention. Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California with an impeccable, clean record.
  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design effective exercise regimens tailored to patient needs.
  • Experience with EMR software platforms, specifically WebPT, is preferred for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Blackwood Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a full benefits package.
