Sr Embedded SW Engineer - Propulsion Thermal Management

Job Description

DUTIES: Design, develop and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for GM’s next generation of EV vehicles. Work closely with multi-disciplined engineering teams to interpret functional requirements to translate and implement appropriate control and diagnostic strategies. Create or modify Unit test cases and Multicomponent test cases to ensure thorough software testing. Explore and understand new thermal systems and requirements to enable controls and software development. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation OR Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Three (3) years of experience with: Writing and debugging C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink; Developing embedded software architecture; Software configuration management processes and tools Git and GitHub; and Development on SIL/HIL and other virtual environments.
