Full job description
A growing precision manufacturer is seeking an experienced Inspection Supervisor to lead day to day inspection activities at a newly acquired site. This is a hands on leadership role overseeing a team of inspectors across multiple shifts, working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory standards. The role is ideal for a working supervisor who thrives on the shop floor, knows inspection inside and out, and wants to build and develop a team in a fast moving environment.
Inspection Supervisor What You Will Do
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the inspection team across multiple shifts, ensuring timely and accurate inspections
- Implement and enforce inspection procedures, standards, and documentation protocols
- Train, mentor, and evaluate inspectors to maintain high performance and compliance
- Review inspection reports and ensure proper documentation of findings
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and analyze inspection data to identify trends and drive improvements
- Lead root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in internal and external audits as required
Inspection Supervisor What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in inspection, quality control, or manufacturing
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD and T
- Solid understanding of inspection tools, techniques, and documentation practices
- Familiarity with ISO standards, AS9100, or other relevant quality frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Flexibility to work shifts or overtime as needed
