Sales Assistant – Korean/English Bilingual (Produce)

About the role

We are hiring a bilingual Korean/English Sales Assistant to support and grow our Korean retail accounts across the NJ/NY metro area. These are established customers. Your job is to keep them well served, well stocked, and buying more - handling their day-to-day needs from the office and visiting the stores regularly.

What you'll do

• Serve as the main point of contact for our Korean-speaking store owners and produce managers, by phone and in person - Take and enter orders, confirm pricing, and follow orders through to delivery
• Visit assigned stores on a regular schedule to check product quality and rotation, take orders, and spot opportunities to add items
• Translate and relay account needs between customers and our sales, purchasing, and operations teams
• Follow up on open issues: shortages, credits, substitutions, delivery timing
• Suggest additional items and promotions to grow volume in existing accounts
• Keep account records and activity current in our systems
• Support the sales team with quotes, reports, and account administration

Qualifications

• Fluent Korean and English, spoken and written (required - our customers conduct business in Korean)
• 1+ years in sales support, customer service, inside sales, or account coordination
• Comfortable on the phone all day and comfortable walking into a store and talking to the owner
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to track many open items at once
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for store visits
• Proficient with email, Excel, and order entry systems
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
