Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Dothan, AL Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Physician – Hematology/Oncology • Job Type: Permanent • Location: Dothan, AL • Service Setting: Outpatient & Inpatient Cancer Center • Coverage Type: Clinical Call • Coverage Period: Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri (Hours TBD) • On-Call Shift Schedule: Shared Call • Call Type: Rotational • Call Ratio: 1:4 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults (general hematology/oncology) • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Yes (inpatient cancer floor) • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: Hematology and oncology patients across full spectrum FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 420-bed hospital; 21 infusion rooms; dedicated inpatient oncology floors • Trauma Level: Level II • Office Equipment Available: Radiation therapy and infusion center onsite; certified oncology nurses; onsite fitness facility • Specialty Backup Available: Radiation Oncology, hospitalist support, radiology, pain management, neurosurgery • Support Staff Available: 3 board-certified Hem/Onc physicians, certified oncology nurses, multidisciplinary cancer team • Reason for Coverage: Practice expansion PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: Highly competitive compensation package with productivity bonus • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Paid malpractice with tail; paid interview expenses • Additional Benefits: $100k signing bonus, health/dental/disability/life insurance, CME/licensure allowance, student loan repayment REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Outpatient chemotherapy management • Inpatient consults and co-management • Hematologic evaluations and treatments JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama • Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology • Experience: Fellowship trained in Hem/Onc • Other Qualifications: Team-oriented, able to work in collaborative environment; PSLF eligible DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in a hospital-based cancer center • Participate in shared 1:4 call rotation • Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care team • Engage in both inpatient and outpatient care delivery • Participate in teaching and academic opportunities through affiliation with ACOM614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
