HVAC Tech - LicensedJob Description Summary
The Licensed HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial facilities. The technician ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Job Description
- Install, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including boilers, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
- Replace defective components such as motors, compressors, thermostats, and electrical controls.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid HVAC Technician License as required by state or local regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of HVAC installation and service experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and controls.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The compensation for the position is: $40.22 - $47.32
