Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Description The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will provide high-quality care to patients in accordance with the established treatment plans set by the Physical Therapist. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety, adhering to the organization's Core Values which include delivering superior quality, effective teamwork, and resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.

Assist in therapeutic interventions: posture training, strengthening exercises, balance training, and coordination exercises.

Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.

Demonstrate various therapeutic modalities as needed.

Document patient progress and response to treatment, with a focus on patient and family education.

Maintain a clean treatment area and ensure the safety of both staff and patients at all times.

Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.

CAPTE Certification.

A minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.

Current CPR Certification.

Active/applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
