Kitchen Manager


A growing hospitality group is looking for a hands-on kitchen leader to drive daily back-of-house operations at a dynamic fast-casual café. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced culinary professional eager to make an impact, develop a dedicated team, and help shape a quality-driven kitchen culture as the company continues to expand.

Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel with direct team management duties
  • Strong understanding of food cost, inventory, waste, labor, and cost control
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and hold BOH teams accountable
  • Practical knowledge of DOH regulations, food safety, and sanitation
  • Experience using scheduling and inventory management systems
  • Highly organized with effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Hands-on leadership approach


Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, production, and service from open to close
  • Hire, train, schedule, and coach a BOH team to deliver consistent results
  • Ensure food quality, recipe accuracy, and portion standards are met every shift
  • Manage inventory, ordering, vendors, and food costs to meet financial targets
  • Monitor labor, scheduling, and COGS, identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement
  • Uphold all food safety, cleanliness, and Department of Health requirements
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure preventive maintenance is up to date
  • Work closely with leadership to continuously enhance systems, training, and overall kitchen performance
