Job Overview
Specialty: NP Hospitalist
Hospital Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Dates of Coverage: December 2026 and onwards. No limit at this time for a right candidate.
Schedule: Shifts are Monday-Friday 9am - 6pm ; In-person stay in the unit/hospital during the shift.
Call Coverage: No
Reason for Coverage: Fill a daytime hospitalist APP staffing need.
Practice Setting(s): Inpatient/Hospital-Based
Patient Population: 100% Adult inpatient/observation population
% Outpatient vs Inpatient: 100% in--hospital admissions
Average # of Patients Per Day: 8-10 patients per day
Required Duties, Procedures, Skills, etc.: Respond to Codes and rapid responses. Ventilator management experience preferred; management of step-down level patients.
Patient acuity: Observation/inpatient floor level of care and intermediate level of care; ability to manage stabilization of critically ill patient and arrange for transport to tertiary care level.
EMR/Documentation: Cerner Community Works and AI scribe support
Additional Notes: Small community hospital. Friendly and supportive nursing staff. Collegial working relationship with ED team and surgeons. Strong Case management team to support discharge process of medial patients. Strong overnight hospitalist MD team.
