Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology Nurse-Allied

Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology physician job in New Jersey : A reputable health network in North Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing Cardiothoracic ICU/Step team. Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts a week (mix of days/nights/weekends; flexible scheduling)
Patient Volume: Two APP providers managing approximately 24 patients
Managing patients in Cardiac Critical Care and Cardiothoracic ICU environments, including post-open-heart surgery and cardiac step-down care
Emergency sternotomy (reopening the sternum in critical post-operative events)
Managing ventilators, hemodynamics, and post-operative recovery for cardiac surgery patients
Collaborating with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams
2+ years of CVICU and/or Cardiac Critical Care experience
~ Active or eligible NJ Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
~ Cardiac Surgery Unit Advanced Life Support (CSU-ALS)
~ Strong background in post-Open Heart and Cardiothoracic Surgery settings

Prior exposure to Emergency Sternotomy or Re-exploration for Bleeding
Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
