We currently have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta. The Forklift Operator is a critical part of our warehouse team, responsible for shipping, storing, and receiving inventory as well as providing sanitation support for the entire warehouse. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate forklift to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials within the warehouse and into trucks and/or railcars according to shipping schedule; operate other equipment for shipping, as needed  

  • Maintain accurate inventory while storing and loading, practicing first in/first out  

  • Monitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, and perform related preventative maintenance as required  

  • Maintain Master Sanitation Schedules and other HAACP documentation, performing scheduled cleaning of equipment 

  • Re-palletize and rework products, and prepare products for regrind process  

  • Maintain safety and quality in a high-paced environment  

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution  

  • Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience operating a forklift  

  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility  

    

Physical Requirements:  

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: 

  • Crouch, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods 

  • Work in a dusty, high heat/humid environment and confined spaces  

Shift: 5:30am-4pm or 4pm-2:30am

Schedule: Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat

Starting Pay: $21.50/hr
