Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2200 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read strips.

Special Requests: Block schedule may be accommodated if unit needs are met.

Unit Details: Common patient population includes post-heart caths, TR bands, CHF, COPD, post-pacers (no external pacers), medical management, patients awaiting CABG consult, and arrhythmias. Only Heparin drips are titrated; Cardizem and Amiodarone are not titrated, and Lasix or Bumex may occasionally be titrated. Monitor techs are on the unit, which also serves as the central monitor station for the entire North Tower. PCT support is available for ADLs, FSBS, and EKGs when able; RNs are expected to perform EKGs as needed. Occasional High Flow. BiPAP and CPAP are used for supportive therapy only. Fast-paced unit with approximately 8-12 discharges and 8-12 admissions per day. RNs complete their own admissions and discharges. Unit clerk available.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling is allowed. Every other weekend for travelers; for nights, weekend shifts are Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. Call or standby may occur if census is low, but this is rare and would be specified in the contract.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are worked into the float rotation and may float anywhere in the hospital, including ICU (rare) and stepdown, within their skillset.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
