About the Role

A community hospital northeast of Columbus, Ohio is hiring a full-time Speech Therapist for its Outpatient department. This role provides screening, evaluation, and therapeutic intervention to patients across a wide range of ages, diagnoses, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and develops treatment plans based on physician referral.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Compensation

$36 to $42 per hour ($74,880 to $87,360 annually), depending on experience.

What You'll Do

The Speech Therapist conducts one-hour evaluations and provides ongoing treatment sessions ranging from 30 to 45 minutes, typically seeing 8 to 9 patients per day. This person develops individualized treatment plans based on physician referral, demonstrates critical thinking to ensure safe and high-quality care, and works effectively with patients of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Because this is a small community hospital, the therapist will encounter a broad range of diagnoses and case types. The role also requires maintaining confidentiality of patient and departmental information in accordance with hospital policy.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current State of Ohio licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work variable days and hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience in an outpatient or hospital-based setting
• Experience working across a broad range of patient diagnoses and age groups

Compensation and Benefits
