Job Description Summary:
The Team Science and Research Matchmaking Lead strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration across TAMUS by connecting researchers, facilitating team formation, and advancing large-scale collaborative research initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement team science programs and collaborative research initiatives.
- Identify and connect faculty with complementary expertise across TAMUS institutions.
- Facilitate formation of proposal teams for strategic funding opportunities.
- Organize networking events, research forums, and collaborative workshops.
- Develop researcher expertise databases and collaboration tools.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement and partnership development activities.
- Support convergence research and interdisciplinary center development.
- Provide training on effective team science practices and collaborative leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Four years of experience in research development, team science, facilitation, or strategic partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of interdisciplinary research ecosystems and federal funding priorities.
- Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to independently make decisions.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree.
