Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, currently has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a 4th - 6th year associate in the Corporate practice of our Texas offices. Job Requirements
Ideal candidates should have 4-6 years of experience working with private equity funds, independent sponsors, and portfolio companies in connection with M&A transactions, capital raises, and debt and securities offerings. Candidates should have experience drafting operating and partnership agreements and attending to the day-to-day needs of portfolio companies.
Candidates should be well-versed in the mechanics of leading an M&A transaction from inception to closing; experience with majority and minority equity issuances made in conjunction with M&A transactions; general corporate and corporate governance experience; ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas and a willingness to train junior associates.
Candidates should also possess a strong academic background, superior drafting and research skills, experience negotiating important transaction documents, the ability to draft M&A transaction documents, and the candidates should be diligent, detail-oriented, proactive, supportive, team-oriented, and personable.
Candidates must be admitted to the Texas Bar and should be willing to participate in community and professional organizations as part of professional development.
