Job Summary
Responsible to manage the comprehensive pedorthic patient care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patient assessment as well as the formulation and implementation of a treatment plan. Specializing in using footwear, including shoes, shoe modifications, foot orthoses and other pedorthic devices to resolve patient's problems in, or related to, the foot and lower limb.
Demonstrates professionalism and experience specifically to manage comprehensive pedorthic patient care in the areas of fitting, fabricating, adjusting, or modifying devices for the patient's needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Pedorthist.
Minimum of one year experience in direct client care under the direct or indirect supervision of a privileged orthotic or pedorothic practitioner preferred.
Certification in Pedorthics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC) is required. Possess a valid Class D driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
