Job Description Summary: Responsible for performing diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, and follow-up paperwork for each procedure. Displays caring, courteous behavior in dealing with patients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and guests of the hospital. On call coverage required. Responsibilities And Duties: 50% Performs ultrasound imaging. 20% Prepares required reports. 10% Maintains files. 10% Maintains equipment. Provides needed statistics. 5% Handles telephone to schedule and provide information. 5% Reviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance activities. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties. The job profile provides an overview of responsibilities and duties and is not intended to be an exhaustive list and is subject to change at any time Minimum Qualifications: High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Additional Job Description: Minimum in a two-year allied, patient related healthcare program (i.e., sonography, radiology) AND either registered (RDCS or RCS) or registry eligible (RDCS or RCS) with registry obtained within 12 months of hire. BLS Certification. On-call coverage required.
