Position: Part-Time Music Teacher

The Goddard School of Montville is looking for a fun, energetic, and engaging Music Teacher to join our team!

We are seeking a music educator who enjoys working with young children and can create a joyful, age-appropriate musical experience for children ranging from 1 to 5 years old .

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, age-appropriate music classes for children ages 1–5
• Introduce children to music through singing, movement, rhythm, instruments, and creative activities
• Create a positive, welcoming, and fun classroom environment
• Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of different age groups
• Encourage children's creativity, confidence, and love of music
• Maintain a warm and professional relationship with children and staff

Qualifications

• Experience teaching music to young children preferred
• Music education, early childhood education, or related experience is a plus
• Must be energetic, patient, creative, and comfortable working with young children
• Ability to engage children through music, movement, and hands-on activities
• Reliable and professional

Schedule

This is a part-time position requiring two Tuesdays per month , from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM , beginning in September 2026 .
