WINDER TRAINEE - 1ST SHIFT

Warrior, Alabama | 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | Climate-Controlled Facility

Looking for a hands-on career where you can learn valuable technical skills? Louis Allis manufactures industrial electric motors used in demanding applications around the world. We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded Winder Trainee who is interested in learning a skilled trade and growing with our team. Previous motor-winding experience is not required for this trainee opportunity.

What You'll Learn and Do
• Prepare AC and DC motor parts for rewinding through cleaning and stripping operations.
• Learn to wind coils, insulate components, insert coils, and make standard motor connections.
• Use specialized repair, lifting, testing, and hand tools with training and guidance.
• Perform electrical testing on AC and DC motors using equipment such as Meggers, hi-pot testers, OHM meters, and test panels.
• Support vibration analysis, maintenance, housekeeping, and other production activities as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• As your skills develop, you may assist with Level C field service work at customer sites.

• Basic mechanical aptitude or comfort working with tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow training, safety procedures, and work instructions.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand for periods of up to 3-4 hours and lift 30+ lbs.
• High school diploma preferred.
