Position Summary:
This job is responsible for managing the assessment, development, execution, and oversight of process improvement and transformation initiatives in support of Operational Excellence objectives to achieve short and long-term strategic goals. Key responsibilities include process engineering best practices and measurable continuous process improvement results. The Process Design Manager performs process engineering and re-engineering for Global Risk Management (GRM) with a focus on the GRM Single Process Inventory (SPI) utilizing tools such as the Process Owner Portal, ARIS and ORCIT Key Measures.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Process Design initiatives across Global Risk Management (GRM), in collaboration with Process Owners / Delegates; create new processes, modify existing, consolidate, delete
- Execute Enterprise Process Management / MCC Initiatives in partnership with GRM Inventory Admin Leads
- Provide Portfolio Intelligence & Analytics to support Op Risk 2.0 and identify process improvement opportunities
- Provide guidance, tools, templates to support efficient end‑to‑end process mapping; ensure alignment with Enterprise Policy & Standard requirements
- Integrates process design best practices and applies business redesign concepts to ensure continuous process improvement tactics are in alignment with long-term strategic goals
- Partner with Process Owners and Delegates on the development and improvement of process efficiency and effectiveness
- Promote identification of compliance and operational risks in processes (including by aligning key standardized risks from the Risk ID taxonomy that are inherent in processes)
- Drive consistency in the execution of the Enterprise Process Management Policy, and continual improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the GRM SPI
- Work with Process Owners and Delegates, Business Controls teammates, Inventory Administrators, GRM COOs and other GRM stakeholders to execute initiatives related to the SPI
- Ensure issues are proactively identified and escalated for non-performing controls and processes and remediation actions are taken
- Focus on the long-term strategic goals of GRM SPI, including the quality and accuracy of process documentation
Required Skills:
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Flexibility and experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Process engineer or design experience for complex processes with proven results for process simplification and efficiency
- Hands-on experience working with Process Owners and Delegates
- Experience with documentation of process flows and proficiency in Visio and ARIS
- Understanding of requirements for adherence to the Enterprise Process Management Policy and Standard
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in risk identification and mitigation and adherence to applicable policies
- Ability to build partnerships and skillfully influence others and resolve conflict with awareness of when to escalate
