Job Details

Our esteemed law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation. This position offers the chance to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to providing top-quality legal services to our clients. You will be dealing with complex and challenging cases, offering a platform to showcase your skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Representing clients in all aspects of workers' compensation cases, from the initial consultation to the final resolution.
  • Conducting thorough case research and investigation, gathering evidence, and developing strong legal strategies.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases efficiently and favorably.
  • Presenting cases at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, providing strong and effective advocacy for our clients.
  • Staying updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to workers' compensation and insurance defense.
  • Collaborating with team members, paralegals, and other staff to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation law, with a focus on insurance defense.
  • Exceptional knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently.
