Engagement Coordination & Oversight

• Project Management: Organize and facilitate day-to-day engagement team meetings, providing clear written and verbal updates to the engagement supervisor.
• Task Delegation: Perform complex tasks and effectively delegate foundational tasks to Auditors across all phases of the engagement.
• Quality Assurance: Review work completed by Auditors or other Seniors, providing constructive coaching notes and first-level quality assurance to correct errors or omissions.

Engagement Planning

• Risk Research: Independently perform and direct comprehensive to identify relevant risks, regulations, and processes to shape the engagement scope.
• Stakeholder Interviews: Facilitate and conduct interviews with business partners and oversight groups by arranging meetings and setting agendas at the direction of the engagement supervisor.
• Documentation: Draft comprehensive planning documents and risk matrices tailored to the specific project type for leadership review.

Engagement Fieldwork

• Process Walkthroughs: Lead walkthroughs with business partners to deeply understand complex processes and controls, directing the documentation of results via flowcharts and narratives.
• Control Testing & Process Analysis: Complete complex testing and maturity assessments as well as oversee the work papers assigned to junior staff. This includes evaluating control design, analyzing process efficiency, confirming control execution and recording clear, defensible conclusions.
• Observation Validation: Independently partner with engagement supervisors to validate identified exceptions or observations with mid-level management.
• Engagement Reporting & Remediation
• Findings Communication: Co-lead meetings to clearly convey engagement findings and actionable strategic recommendations to Management. Assist in the preparation of required deliverables.
• Report Drafting: Assist in drafting and editing final engagement reports to ensure accuracy and complete alignment with the work performed.
• Action Plan Tracking: Independently track management action plans and follow up with business partners to assess implementation progress. Conduct or delegate retesting to validate remediation.

Internal Team Support

• Departmental Initiatives: Participate actively or drive team committees and initiatives (e.g., event planning, quality assurance reviews of completed projects, special projects to develop future processes, and internal software support).
• Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Requirements

 Describe any required or preferred education and experience criteria (i.e. bachelor’s degree preferred, or management experience required). 

Education & Experience

• Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional experience in assurance, internal audit, advisory, consulting or a related field.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a relevant field.

Required Skills

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Experience with Workiva is highly preferred.
• Communication: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to probe, question, listen attentively, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. (Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform essential functions).
• Work Ethic: Inquisitive and self-starting with a high degree of initiative, urgency, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Analytical Thinking: Critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis, draw sound conclusions, solve complex problems, and lead improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Healthcare background and/or Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Data Analytics concepts and tools.
• Global Exposure: Experience with international work or anti-corruption audits.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

List applicable certificates, licenses, and registrations required or preferred for this position 

• Holding or willingness to pursue a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is highly preferred.

Travel and Time Requirements

List the amount of travel required for this role and frequency of nights and weekends required to work.

Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required, which includes travel for project fieldwork or team events.

The Wage Range for the role is $36.50 - $50.50 per hour.

 

 

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
