Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs. As an integral part of the Cath Lab team, the Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians with a variety of procedures, such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. The Cath Lab Technologist operates specialized equipment during procedures, provides direct care for patients throughout the procedural process, and maintains a safe, sterile environment.

What qualifications you will need:

Required:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or Radiologic Technology program
State Registered Radiologic Technician *OR* Registered Radiographer (ARRT) *OR* Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), (in accordance with law and regulation in the state(s) of practice)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (within 30 days)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred:
1+years experience in a cardiac cath lab
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

Call is required (30 minute response time)
