Spotter Truck Driver

GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for spotting truck loads and unloads for operators in the plant in a timely and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Compliance with WestRock safety rules.
• Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to company PM system and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues with spotter truck and maintain organization in trailer yard
• Identify inbound/outbound customers
• Maintain trailer yard inventory
• Source out contractor assistance
• Safely back trailers in at tight angles.
• Attend daily shift meeting to prioritize and daily tasks and minimize down time.
• Actively participate in plant safety programs and trainings.
• Maintain a safe a clean work area at all times.
• Perform after hour live loads with correct release numbers and weights.
• Make safety a priority at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT Class A Licenses
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Alert, focused and detail oriented.
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures and equipment manuals.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
