Job Description
Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic I to support operations in a fast-paced chemical plant environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial equipment to help keep production running safely and efficiently. Daily work includes preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, pipefitting, and equipment rebuilds. The position requires working around industrial machinery, performing hands-on physical labor, and responding to equipment issues as they arise. Candidates who have experience as a maintenance technician, industrial mechanic, maintenance mechanic, millwright, mechanical technician, or equipment maintenance technician are encouraged to apply. Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating Shift | 4:30 to 4:30
Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $21.00 to $23.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on production and process equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
- Disassemble, assemble, install, and repair pumps, bearings, motors, piping, and other industrial equipment.
- Complete equipment rebuilds, refurbishments, and component replacements as needed.
- Perform alumina changeouts and support general labor activities within the facility.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, work orders, and maintenance procedures.
- Assist operations and maintenance teams with diagnosing equipment failures and minimizing downtime.
- Verify safety devices and equipment safeguards are functioning properly following repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment safely and effectively.
- Document completed work, maintenance history, and repair activities using computerized maintenance systems.
- Maintain clean, organized, and environmentally safe work areas.
- Participate in plant safety initiatives, housekeeping efforts, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work independently and as part of a maintenance team to support facility reliability goals.
- Follow all company, site, and safety procedures at all times.
- Work overtime, extended hours, and additional shifts as business needs require.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience, maintenance technician experience, trade school training, or related mechanical education.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read work orders, manuals, drawings, and maintenance procedures.
- Basic computer skills for entering work history, viewing drawings, and documenting repairs.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and additional scheduled shifts as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and manual labor.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial chemical plant environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, refinery, mining, or production facilities.
- Experience performing troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Machining, welding, fabrication, or pipefitting experience.
- Rigging experience or willingness to complete rigging training.
- Electrical troubleshooting knowledge and strong electrical safety awareness.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
