The facility maintains established clinical protocols and structured workflows to support coordinated hematology and oncology care delivery. On-site resources are in place to facilitate quality patient care across all assigned coverage periods.

South Carolina offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor recreational opportunities, including camping, fishing, boating, kayaking, and canoeing, with destinations such as Lake Murray and Congaree National Park available for exploration. The state is home to notable cultural attractions including the South Carolina State Museum, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, and the Columbia Museum of Art. Throughout the year, South Carolina hosts more than 300 fairs and festivals encompassing food, art, wine, and cultural heritage events, providing clinicians with varied options during time away from clinical duties.

A board-certified Medical Oncologist is required for locum tenens coverage spanning inpatient and clinic settings. The clinician will provide outpatient hematology/oncology coverage from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., seeing approximately 25 adult patients per day with a focus on benign hematology and malignant oncology. Weekend inpatient call is required approximately every 5th or 6th weekend, covering Friday at 4:30 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m., with hospital rounding and an average census of approximately 20 patients. Board certification in Medical Oncology and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
