This professional staff position will have an impact on improving patient satisfaction by providing the best possible massage therapy sessions to individuals to meet their needs, on an outpatient basis.Job Description:
Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area.
As part of the Center for Healthy Living team, the Massage Therapist:
· Provide a caring, patient-centered environment
· Assesses individuals for massage, solicits information from the client that will be helpful in
developing the most favorable outcomes for the use of the therapy.
· Demonstrates proficiency in the use of relaxation, and other specific techniques.
· Provides massage according to the state required standards.
· Completes all paperwork in a timely manner.
· Documents (SOAP notes) patient visit using EPIC and reviews EMR/chart for relevant patient history, as applicable.
· Notifies supervisor and admins of any scheduling changes.
· Maintains a clean, welcoming and professional treatment environment following Hospital Infection Prevention guidelines.
· Maintains equipment by cleaning therapy tables and reporting any damaged equipment to supervisor.
· Maintains supply inventory by monitoring supply levels, notifies admin staff to order and stock new supplies.
· Reports any concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
· Participates in chair massage/community events and/or meetings to support promotional and outreach efforts, as needed.
· Maintains requirements for Massachusetts LMT license.
Requirements:
Education required: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and Massage Therapy License (LMT)
Experience required: At least one year experience in Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, oncology massage and pregnancy massage,
Preferred: Experience in treating patients with mobility issues, post-orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain, geriatrics, oncology, and pregnancy. Manual lymphatic drainage, craniosacral, reflexology, and/or Reiki certification, is a plus.
Other Skills/Knowledge required: For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
Required License: Massachusetts Massage Therapy License
Preferred Certification: National Certification Board for Therapeutic and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Pay Range:
$50.00 - $50.00The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
