Warehouse Technician
Role Purpose / Mission
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials and finished goods within Webco’s manufacturing and distribution operations. This role ensures production continuity, supports shipping and receiving processes, and maintains inventory integrity to meet customer requirements. The Warehouse Technician contributes to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, move, and stage materials and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, or other equipment as required.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, label, store, and retrieve raw materials and finished goods using inventory systems.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist with staging, packing, verifying, and documenting shipments per internal and customer specifications.
- Cycle Counts & Audits: Conduct routine inventory counts; investigate and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Record material movements, inventory transactions, and shipping/receiving data in ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Equipment Care: Perform pre-use inspections and routine maintenance on material handling equipment.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Typical Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting of 50+ lbs., standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials.
- Extended periods of sitting or operating material handling equipment.
- Manual dexterity for scanning, labeling, and documentation tasks.
- Ability to work in both indoor and warehouse production environments with temperature variations.
Typical Working Conditions
- Indoor, temperature-controlled office and climate-controlled warehouse areas.
- Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, cranes, industrial traffic, dust, and noise.
- PPE required, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when in production areas.
- Must comply with all safety procedures, protocols, and environmental regulations.
