Position Summary
The Workday Endowments Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Workday Endowments solution. This role serves as the functional lead for endowment accounting, fund management, reporting, and related financial processes, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead administration and optimization of Workday Endowments and related Workday Financials modules.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Advancement, Treasury, and IT stakeholders to define business requirements.
- Configure and maintain endowment funds, spending rules, reporting structures, and workflows.
- Manage Workday release reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics supporting endowment performance and compliance.
- Oversee integrations between Workday and external financial or donor-management systems.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to end users.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and recommend system enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3-5 years of Workday Financials experience.
- Strong expertise with Workday Endowments, Grants, Revenue, or related financial modules.
- Workday Financials certification preferred.
- Experience leading system implementations, enhancements, or support teams.
- Knowledge of endowment accounting, fund restrictions, spending policies, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Travel when requested by the client
Preferred Experience
- Higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or foundation environments.
- Experience with grants, investments, donor funds, and regulatory reporting.
- Advanced reporting, integrations, and data governance experience within Workday.
The estimated base salary for this job is $145,000 - $170,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $159,500 - $204,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
